7. PRODUCTION, PROOFS, AND POSTING

  • Authors will receive an email with a link and instructions for accessing HTML page proofs online. Page proofs should be carefully proofread for any copyediting or typesetting errors. Online guidelines are provided within the system. No special software is required: All common browsers are supported. Authors should make sure that any renumbered tables, figures, or references match text citations and that figure legends correspond with text citations and actual figures.

    Proofs must be returned within 48 hours of receipt of the email. Return of proofs via email is possible if the online system cannot be used or accessed. If the corresponding author does not respond, Wiley will attempt to communicate with coauthors.

  • HSR offers Wiley’s Early View service for all manuscripts. Manuscripts accepted "in press" are published online shortly after acceptance, before copyediting or typesetting, in PDF format only, and given a digital object identifier (DOI). The DOI remains valid for citing and accessing the article when the article of record is posted (see Early View, below).

    Accepted Articles will be indexed by PubMed; submitting authors should carefully check the names and affiliations of all authors provided in the cover page of the manuscript so it is accurate for indexing. The final copyedited and proofed articles will appear in an issue on the Wiley Online Library; the link to the article in PubMed will update automatically.

    HSR offers rapid publication via Wiley’s Early View service. Early View (Online Version of Record) articles are published on the Wiley Online Library before inclusion in a print or online issue. After author corrections are received, editors may need several days to review proofs before the article appears online. Before posting and publishing an article, Wiley must receive a signed license via Wiley Author Services (Section 6). Once the article is published on Early View, any changes may be through publishing a statement of error. The Early View article is fully citable and carries an online publication date and the same DOI as the Accepted Article version.
